Fixed restorations, which include but are not limited to materials like alloy, porcelain, resin, or zirconia, come with a warranty of 2 years from the date of manufacture.

Removable restorations, including dentures, and alloy partial dentures, are 1 year from the date of manufacture. While Flexible partial dentures, and Flippers, is 6 month from the date of manufacture. During this period, a one-time reline, repair or replacement per device is covered under the warranty. However, once a repair or reline is performed, the service warranty is no longer applicable. In the case of a one-time replacement, the remaining duration of the original warranty, starting from the date of manufacture, remains valid. Please note that immediate partial and immediate full dentures do not come with a warranty.

Mouthguards and Therapy Devices, which are designed for provisional, diagnostic, therapeutic, orthodontic, or orthopedic purposes, have a warranty period of 90 days from the date of manufacture. This shorter warranty duration is due to the increased likelihood of damage or poor fit caused by intermittent wear or dental, skeletal, or muscular forces. These devices include products like Temps, temporary partials, orthodontic appliances, orthotic devices, and splints. If a repair or reline is performed, the service warranty becomes void. However, in the case of a one-time replacement, the remaining duration of the original warranty period remains valid from the original date of manufacture. The warranty period for Progressions is now 30 days from the date of manufacture.

To exercise a Service Warranty, the following conditions must be fulfilled:

  • Return all original alloy (if applicable), original devices, and original models to the laboratory.
  • Include the original work authorization (or evidence of original purchase) along with a new completed work authorization and new models.

Barksdale Dental Laboratory retains the right to modify and update the warranty at any time. The warranty does not cover deviations from the original work order instructions, devices that have undergone prior repairs, relining, rebasing, or any other alterations from new. It also does not cover damaged or ill-fitting devices due to accidents, patient non-compliance, negligence, abuse, supporting bone, tooth or tissue failure, dental changes, dental or muscular parafunctional habits, improper clinical protocols, or improper oral hygiene.

Unwarranted orders include cases where clinically-requested lab alterations to original case materials are necessary, as well as instances where laboratory requests for new materials, products, or process changes are overruled clinically. Additionally, the warranty does not apply to devices previously non-warranted in the device history record or devices that fail due to misdiagnosis or incorrect device selection.

The warranty excludes work performed by another laboratory, cash refunds, temporary replacements, costs associated with removal or reinsertion, and costs incurred by another laboratory. Guarantees and warranty provisions do not extend to sales made to other laboratories. This warranty supersedes all other warranties, whether expressed or implied, and cannot be modified by any agent, employee, or representative of the laboratory.
